Calderon Mexico road infrastructureGuadalcázar, San Luis Potosi .- President Felipe Calderón Hinojosa noted that the 2010 Federal Government will invest 54 billion dollars only in highway infrastructure, equivalent to build 50 highways.

“The Federal Government’s investment amounts to nearly a billion dollars a week on pure road.

We are getting very strong infrastructure, so I say that this will be the presidency of the infrastructure. In fact, completing the fourth year of government, we are just above half in four years we will become more highways and expanded or remodeled more rural roads than in any other government on record in modern history “he said.

On tour in the State of San Luis Potosi, at the opening of Highway Cerritos-Tula, in the municipality of Guadalcázar, the president said the situation of marginalization of Mexicans living in parts of the country is due to the lack of infrastructure , investment and opportunity.

Accompanied by the Governor of the state, Fernando Toranzo Fernández, said that the road will improve and raise the quality of life of the inhabitants of the region.

“That’s what I want to assure the Governor Toranzo, and all of San Luis, in that I have no doubts or distinction. Mine is a government that works even for people without distortion, without distinction of color, regardless of party, regardless of region.

We are a government committed to Mexico. And while we all work together to Mexico let’s give the country more progress, progress that Mexico needs, “he said.

“The Federal Government, I have the honor to lead, for the bottom billion, made 270 first-repayable, ie there are now nearly 300 million buried in the pavement, plus another 400 million loan to the project so that it can do through BANOBRAS.

Then, 270 million fund, more than 400 loan to the project are 670 million of the almost one that cost this road. After more than 311 individuals and 92 million from the state government to complement the road today, finally, is at the service of Potosi, Tamaulipas and the whole country, “he said.

President Calderón highlighted the geostrategic importance of our country, and said that San Luis Potosí can be the third part of the world with greater growth potential.

“And with this road even more. For me, instead of calling the Cerritos-Tula Road, is practically the Carretera San Luis Potosi-Matamoros. And, as noted here, is part of a road axis is even bigger than Matamoros Manzanillo, Manzanillo-Tampico “he said.

As part of his tour of San Luis Potosi and Guanajuato, the president will also oversee the progress of the Dam El Realito.
