President Calderon introduces 12 measures to simplify procedures
Mexico City .- As part of efforts to give competition to the national economy, President Felipe Calderon Hinojosa announced 12 additional measures to simplify procedures of the Ministries of Economy, Health and Agriculture, in order to eliminate unnecessary costs in the proceedings and regulations, and facilitate access to the latest technology in our country.
“The measures we are announcing today allow you to generate savings to the productive sector of 20 billion pesos, we estimate, which, together with the estimated 15 billion pesos for the payment of tax simplification, will allow individuals and businesses save up to 35 billion pesos for the mere fact of deregulation, “he said.
In the official residence of Los Pinos, the president emphasized that the most important thing is that not only saves time, money, effort and resources for Mexican companies, but helps to give the competitiveness required by the Mexican productive.
“With better regulation in business we will be able to spend less time, less resources to comply with formalities, and they will be able to concentrate entrepreneurs and producers in the country, the real benefits of their productive activities.
We work to make the Government a nuisance, but an active promoter of business growth and economic growth, “he said.
The measures are:
One: Facilitation of Mexican exports to Europe and Latin America.
Two: Speeding up the submission and resolution of complaints for users of electricity, with the addition to the CFE Settlement System Clarifications, CONCILIANET.
Three: Simplification of the procedures to receive and record foreign investment in the country, through the automation of reporting to the National Registry of Foreign Investment.
Four: Expansion of services offered in the web tuempresa.gob.mx with the addition of four new online procedures.
Five: Equipment for Small and Medium Enterprises, by strengthening the system for Standardization. Furthermore, was published in the Official Journal of the Federation agreements that allow electronic products sold in our country.
Six: Automation of the process for obtaining sanitary registration.
Seven: Driving the marketing of medical devices of last generation in our country.
Eight: Facilitating register to market drugs. This measure starts with the drugs known in counter-counter traded in the U.S. and Canada.
Nine: Making a direct interconnection between the Tax Administration System and the Federal Commission for Protection Against Health Risks (COFEPRIS) for transmission in real time, Sanitary Import Permit. This will also contribute to the identification of illegal import of goods.
Ten: Facilitating the transfer of products of agriculture in the country. As of September 30 will automate the issuance of phytosanitary certificates and Animal Health National Mobilization.
Eleven: Automated registration is granted for products of animal use and consumption. As of September 30 will eliminate the need for various products veterinarians.
Twelve: Deregulation of the import of meat, grains, oilseeds and other agricultural products.
“With this new simplification package we are putting our country in line with best international practices.
We will continue to promote changes, the changes required by the country’s economy to grow more vigorously and more jobs so that families can live better, “he said.
The event was accompanied by President Calderón Secretaries of Economy, Bruno Ferrari Garcia de Alba, Finance, Ernesto Cordero Arroyo, of the Civil Service, Salvador Vega Casillas; of Health José Ángel Córdova Villalobos, and Agriculture Minister Francisco Mayorga Castañeda and business representatives.
