June 22, 2011 update:
After 54 games, Guaymas has 19 wins and 35 losses.
This week, Guaymas plays at home on June 22 and 23 against Empalme.
BASEBALL - Ostioneros de Guaymas
Guaymas has its own baseball team called the Ostioneros de Guaymas (Oystercatchers). They were the 2009 League Champions.
They play at the Abelardo L. Rodriguez stadium.

Games usually start at 7:30 pm, and tickets are 50 pesos for adults and 10 pesos for kids.
The league runs from April to August.
The cost is 50 pesos for adults and 10 pesos for children.

2010 Season
August 10th, 2010 update: After the Ostioneros de Guaymas lost the first three games of the finals, they went on to win the 4th game 3-2. Unfortunately, they lost the fifth game, loosing the series 4-1. The Ensenada Marineros are the new league champions.
August 5th, Ensenada beat Guaymas 7-3
August 4th, Ensenada beat Guaymas 3-2
August 7th, Ensenada beat Guaymas 14-4
August 8th, Guaymas beat Ensenada 3-2
August 9th, Ensenada beat Guaymas 4-0 and won the championship.
August 3rd, 2010 update: The Ostioneros de Guaymas will once again advance to the finals in the Liga Norte de Mexico. They took the semi-finals to seven games, finally beating Tijuana last night 3-2 and winning the series 4-3. Beginning August 4th, the Ostioneros will take on the Marineros de Ensenada. Guaymas will play at home Saturday August 7th and Sunday August 8th. Tickets are only 40 pesos.
