Manuel and his cumbia music rocks! This hombre and his new band of one year rhythmically strut around the stage in their maroon oxford shirts and the crowds just can’t get enough.
Manuel Armenta was playing in a band out of Guaymas twenty years ago called Alto Voltaje. He then started his current band featuring Felipe Osuna on acoustic and electric guitars, Xavier Garcia on bass, Manuel Garcia on piano and Demetrio Sandoval on percussion and drums. This group all sing, but the main man Manuel does most of the moves.
When these musicians play Capitian’s Club every Friday, you can see all five on the stage keeping the dancers dancing. They play from 7:00pm until 10:00pm. Get there early, as the place always fills up for them!
They also play at Bananas every Saturday night from 8:00pm until 11:00pm.
