The Tucson Sailing Club's 40th Anniversary Regatta takes places from October 30 – 31.

They will be celebrating with mixture of old and new:

The Old – The Tucson Sailing Club returns to the olden days with its regatta from San Carlos to Guaymas on Saturday with a dinner party in the evening. Participants can stay on their boats in Guaymas or catch a ride with a non-sailor participant back to San Carlos. On Sunday the participants continue the race back to San Carlos with a banquet celebration on Sunday evening.

The New – The annual Fall cruise joins the regatta. Cruisers participate in the regatta, but have special rules to accommodate the boats that have provisioned for the cruising days or whose captains just don’t feel like being competitive racers. Saturday night’s party is at Pancho Villa in Guaymas. The Sunday night party is at the Hotel San Carlos on the veranda overlooking the beach. The awards banquet is held on Halloween, so dress accordingly.
