The Seafarin Kayakers are hosting an outdoor trip to El Colorado on Friday, December 9.
There are choices of Activities that you can do: Kayaking or Hiking or Cycling
The trip will leave San Carlos at 8:00am on Friday, December 9 – we will drive in convoy to El Colorado (1 hour drive north up the coast) .
There will be flat, easy hiking on a dirt road for those who wish to explore the cactus area (old Seri lands where artifacts have been found previously), a hill climb for those who want to get to the top of El Colorado to see awesome views over the sea and surrounding area . If you like to cycle, bring your bike and, of course, there will be kayaks (single and double) available to rent or bring your own.
The trip includes a superb seafood lunch.
Costs: Kayak rental is 150 pesos per head; Lunch is 120 pesos per head.
The E-Colorado project is a small conservation project to provide sustainable economic activity to the ejido El Colorado in harmony with their natural resources. If you like fresh fish, there will normally be some available for purchase. These are locally caught fish direct from the sea in hand nets to the solar powered freezer!
