Fishing Report
Still some slow fishing with the cold water out there. Many boats are getting shut out, but those that are there at the right times are catching some fish. The bite has been midday and into the afternoon, so if you wake up early, you may need to stick it out until they really start biting. When the water warms they will hopefully bite throughout the day better. Hopefully that will take place within a few weeks for our Yellowtail Tournament on the 5th!
In close you might not find too much. If the weather cooperates and you find the ‘spot’, you should be able to get some bottomfish. The hunting has been good and the bass are spawning down at the lakes. My friend caught one of 11.9 pounds the other day, which must be a near record for the lake. I’ll be looking to wet a line somehow this week. It’s the only way that I know to catch a fish.
tight lines, Bryan Replogle repsilon@aol.com
