The United Nations proclaimed 2010 as the International Year of Biodiversity. It is a celebration of life on earth and of the value of biodiversity for our lives. The world is invited to take action in 2010 to safeguard the variety of life on earth: biodiversity.
The community is invited to celebrate biodiversity on Saturday May 22nd from 10:00am to 4:00pm at Playa Piedras Pintas (aka Lalos Cove).
There will be live music by Grupo Luna from 1:00pm – 3:00pm.
Groups such as Protected Tetakawi, SuMar, ITSON, TecMilenio, Despertar Ciudadano, PincelARTE de Guaymas, Casa de la Cultura, and others will be there, handing out educational materials on the environment.
