There were very few reports of yellowtail caught this week. Well, actually I heard of only two that were caught. One was on Monday with other fish seen, so maybe they will start to come off the spawn here and the bite will start back up. The water has cooled right back off. I just looked at the satellite charts, and there’s 53 degree water just to the north. The water out front looks to be back down to 62 degrees. It had warmed up to 70 degrees before the weekend and boats were looking for small dorado and marlin. I heard many rumors of fish seen, but most of the few reports that I heard of that went out searching and found nothing. We all want the fish to show up, but they’ll show up when winter finally lets up. It’s not over yet. I’ve got my pants and socks on at night if I’m outside where I live on the ‘coast’. Still, if you’re out of the wind and inland, it’s warm. Things will break here soon, but be patient. We’ll be out trying tomorrow. Good times are right around the corner.
